Sundowner Charity Ride
Ride Together, Fight Prostate Cancer
At Red On Sports, this cause is deeply personal. Earlier this year, our Co-Founder Malcolm Smith was diagnosed with prostate cancer. It’s a stark reminder that this disease affects 1 in 8 men in the UK, and even more amongst those over 50 – which includes a large part of our gravel cycling community.
Through the Sundowner Charity Ride, we want to do more than just bring riders together for a great evening on the gravel. We want to raise awareness, drive life-saving checks, and raise funds for Prostate Cancer UK.

Malcolm’s Story
Malcolm’s experience has brought home the importance of early detection and why raising awareness through our events is so vital.
“When I received my diagnosis, it was a shock – but it’s also a reminder that catching prostate cancer early saves lives. That’s why we want to use our events, including the British Gravel Championships and The Gralloch, to make sure every rider, every family member, and every supporter understands the risks and checks themselves. The Sundowner Ride is our way of fighting back – together.”
– Malcolm Smith, Co-Founder, Red On Sports
